The other day I found an excellent blog that features great deals on different mobile electronics for your vehicle. They have many different products such as car stereos, navigation systems, and DVD players. I would like to highlight two great deals I found on the site.
TomTom GO 730T
Normally retailing for $399.99, this GPS is listed at just $189.99! That means you save over $200 when you order.
It features a 4.3-inch screen, and it includes a free 1-year subscription to real-time traffic information. When traffic delays are identified, the system will provide detailed incident reports.
Delay times are estimated and alternate routes are proposed, taking into account where traffic has been impeded. It even provides you with automatic rerouting, if it is enabled.
The GPS also includes a built-in MP3 player as well as an FM transmitter. Just upload your MP3s and listen to them through your stereo. No connection is necessary, just tune in to the right FM station and you’re all set.
The TomTom GO 730T has Bluetooth connectivity as well, which allows it to function as a hands-free mobile phone system with your cell phone. It is an easy and safe alternative for using your phone while driving. You can even use the FM transmitter to enhance the audio, rather than using the built-in speakers.

Garmin StreetPilot 7200
This navigation system normally retails for $599.99, but your price is only $270.74. You save over $300!
Just like the TomTom, the Garmin includes up-to-date traffic information as well as a built-in MP3 player. In addition, it also doubles as an XM Satellite receiver (hence the heftier pricetag).
Of course, to make use of the XM satellite features, you will need a subscription to XM satellite radio. If you don’t already have XM radio and are considering it, the Garmin StreetPilot 7200 makes for a decent system, especially if you want portability.
The XM satellite radio antenna allows the GPS to access over 150 commercial-free radio stations. The audio can be played through the stereo either through the FM radio transmitter or via an integrated 3.5mm stereo headphone/line-out plug. XM satellite also provides the system with traffic data as well as up-to-the date weather.
The navigation system also includes an A/V connection, which allows you to connect other portable video devices. The massive 7-inch screen makes it a great alternative to using your current portable devices’ screens.
All-in-all, it is hard to go wrong with either of these navigation systems, especially if you consider that both of them are so deeply discounted at less than half the retail cost.
The Garmin is probably the better buy, with it’s extra-large screen and XM satellite features. If you’re looking to spend $80 less, you can’t go wrong with the TomTom either.
