The latest research has shown that just one crime a year will be solved by the aid of CCTV cameras across the country. Since the release of this information the public are in uproar over the excessive use of surveillance equipment in and around almost every city.

A local Chief Detective said officers should do more to make use of evidence captured by the cameras which are practically on almost every street corner around the country. Video surveillance and does not mix well with Joe public. The latest statistic does strongly emphasise the effectiveness of the CCTV cameras around the country. Why do we need them if they are not solving any crimes – Where is the need in this in spy equipment? There is a unanamous dissapointment in the CCTV cameras around the country. How can they be this in-effective? There must be a solution. In my opinion it is only a matter of time before they have mobile phone tracking hooked up on all of us! OK - That may be a little over the top but it is logical to think that we are living in a big brother society right now.

Recent research has shown that the effectiveness of video surveillance is very useful in preventing cars being broken into and stolen. To help out with this problem people have been investing money into vehicle tracking devices which radically increases the chance of getting your car if it has been stolen. It is somewhat proven that video surveillance technology is not all that useful and it creates a huge intrusion on everyday life. So what is the point? Why must we invest ridiculous amounts of money into this. So, what is the solution? What is the value of keeping these cameras in our streets anymore? Should we just get rid of all of these CCTV cameras? You would hope that something is being done to rectify this problem. I don’t think anyone was expecting that these statistics would be so low. Let’s see what happens..

People love gadgets that they can use in their everyday lives, none more so than those gadgets found in cars or that can be used in cars. Below we take a little look at three of the latest gadgets to either have arrived in the car world, or are very soon to make their entrance.

Electronic Cigarette. With all the new smoking bans being but in place in public locations, the car is on of the last bastions for smokers. That said, nobody want to have their car stinking of cigarette smoke, especially when you have to give people a lift. Also, there is no escaping the left over cigarette butts, burns and ash in the car. You wont have any of these issues with the electronic cigarette, which produces pure, clean smoke and doesn’t harm a fly. The best bit is you can recharge these gadgets in the cigarette lighter port, so it’ll save you a fortune.

Sound Blocking Head Rest. This is one of these gifts for men, when they are trying to concentrate on the task at hand. A small devise that fits into the headrest of a car, emits quiet, low frequency sound waves that form an invisible barrier around the driver’s head, meaning all unwanted noise is kept out. I think you’ll agree that this gadget is a must for anyone who gets constant nattering in their ear or from the back of the car, when all they are trying to do is get from A to B.

Self-Adjusting Car Seats. This is both a technology for comfort and safety. Expected to be released by Ford in 2012, these new seats adjust automatically to your body shape and weight, giving you the best ergonomically friendly driving position. You can even program the seat to move to different positions depending on what style of driving you want to do. What is more, if the worst case scenario happens and you find yourself in a car accident, the seat will do it’s best to protect you by moving itself into the safest possible position in a flash. If there is no one in the seat behind, the driver’s seat and passenger seat move backwards and downwards, moving the person as far away from the impact zone as possible.

With the popularity of the mobile phones and each home containing answering machines, answering services are no longer a sought after service. The service however, is a great option if you are taking in phone calls more than you or your answering machine could possibly handle. Of course, the main priority of taking advantage of such service is for convenience.

For some, it is a matter of convenience, and for others, it can become a timesaver. For me, I think it would be a matter of both, but its not something I can afford to pay extra for at the moment, and I cant justify the costs.

As of the moment, I don’t see any need to take it up, but maybe in the future these answering service centers could be of some use to me.

Some of the more recent types of answering service is something that works much like an answering machine and is fully automated. Most don’t feel the need to have this unless they get a lot of calls that they know can wait until later.

However, companies that have real people answering on the other line are still offered. This is the easiest option for you if you want someone to actually be speaking to another person. This is critical if you have pressing business that you can’t do on your own.

Not only that, if there are emergencies then you have the advantage of getting alerted right away about an important manner that needs your attention ASAP.

These are very helpful for doctors and lawyers, and those who may need to be aware of immediate changes and industry related emergencies. Those who may not deal with emergency situations, but just have too much going on, can benefit from such an arrangement as well.

Some people choose to have an answering service when they first start out with a new business. They may not need it, but it does much to give them an air of success, which is always good for pulling in new business.

Though this is something that is quite handy, it doesn’t have to cost very much, and can leave a good impression on anyone. As a customer, having a call answered by a real person no matter what the reason is actually something that I appreciate and it makes me feel that I am important to the company or person I am calling. Im sure many others feel the same.
